Urn special edition with Egyptian image

My sister wanted to be buried in our parents' grave, so I looked for an urn that is frost-resistant. I found this one at Phoenix Urns.

In addition, my sister had a desire to have an Egyptian image on her urn. This was also possible      at Phoenix Urns. My daughter had made the drawing and it was hand painted on the urn:

The result was fantastic!

I also really liked receiving photos during the making process.

Urn bowl Robin on pine branch

Hello Michael.

We were looking for an urn for my father and luckily came across your site. We were immediately impressed by the beautiful and personal designs. We then contacted you via email and this was answered quickly and clearly. Unfortunately I never met you, but from day 1 we were confident that the urn for "our dad" would be all right.

Thanks for making some sketches for us. This gave us (but especially my mother) an idea of what it was going to be like. Last week the urn arrived. In reality even more beautiful than in the picture!

Special request order: Urn bowl (with tea light) with a hand-painted decoration after a photo of the coffin with hiking boots and hat

After the death of my husband Wiel, I had a personal coffin made for the funeral coffin in which his hiking boots, hiking hat, walking stick , backpack, combined with flowers that he liked, have been used.

For the ashes destination I was also looking for something personal. Thanks to "Phoenix Urns" this was successful. Using photos of the coffin and the image of an albatross (referring to one of Wiel's favorite songs, Fleetwood Mac's “Albatross”), Mr. van de Sande painted a very nice personal urn bowl that I am very happy with. A showpiece in the room. Thank you very much for the great contact and the quick settlement.

Special request order: Tokeh with ferns and bamboo after a photo of the family

After my husband's cremation, I contacted Phoenix Urns. I informed him about my wishes, and as a result, Michael van de Sande made a design. I had full say in the design and that gave me great satisfaction!

Michael kept me fully informed from the drawing to the glazing process. It has become a unique urn, which I am very happy with. Highly recommended to give your loved one a place and to be able to look at it with melancholy every day.

Pyramid Squirrel on pine

I am very happy with the beautiful ceramic urn for my deceased wife. It is a pyramid-shaped, glazed urn. The urn is painted with the images of the mourning card: a sweet squirrel and a robin on a tree branch with pine cones. It is a beautiful, comforting piece of jewelry in my living room.

Hi Michael,

After the sudden death of my husband I looked on various sites to find an urn object. All those standard objects made me very sad….. When I clicked on your site I saw that much more was possible and how beautiful an urn object can be and also that I could have something made especially for my deceased husband from you. So nice to exchange ideas with you about this and you gave me good suggestions. I wanted something that wasn't too big, and that would be a special memory of my late husband and portray something characteristic of his passions. For example, I chose the infinity sign and a playing card of the king of hearts on the urn bowl. The fact that a tea light could also be made in it ensures that the urn bowl has an extra dimension; it gives light.

Special order based on a photo of my husbands' own motorcycle.

The waiting for my Klaas to come home was completely worth it. He is now forever connected to his motorcycle, his favorite hobby....riding a motorcycle. I really feel like he's back home now, riding his beloved bike. I think the design and the urn are beautiful and it moves me deeply.

Knowing that it is an urn, I don't think it resembles an urn at all, more a beautiful vase. I'm glad I asked you to make it into a special urn, so I'm glad I chose to let Klaas come home and have him with us forever.

I'm sure Klaas would love this too. I understood from Kees (crematorium employee) that he thought it was a masterpiece and it sure is.

When Leanne, my Daughter, died (aged 16), I was determined that I would not be put her in the ground, I wanted her to be with me at home where she died. 
I looked at hundreds of urns on-line and at funeral parlours and none of them were quite right. I also didn't want something off the shelf that everyone else could buy. 

Then I saw the hand painted urns on Phoenix Urns, I couldn't believe how beautiful they were. I contacted Michael and he sketched a picture and I fell in love with it straight away. Now my Daughter is with me at home in her urn, I'm sure she would approve. She was a big fan of Harry Potter and loved Hedwig, Harry's owl.

She also died on St. David's day which meant the flowers had to be daffodils and the butterflies were her transition into a beautiful new life. 

I can't recommend Phoenix Urns high enough, the service and step by step emails to construct the design, were very comforting at this very sad time in my life.

Special order sunflower with pink poppy.

Some time ago I, together with my son and daughters, transferred the ashes of my deceased husband into his urn. The urn is very beautiful and made as a special order (and special model) with a painting of sunflowers and poppies, my husband's favorite flowers.

I was very surprised to see that the background color of the urn is not cold white but light cream-coloured, which fits much better with the natural look of the painting. My husband did not want a memorial and with this urn, which looks like a very nice decorative vase, as I have several in my living room, I fulfill his wish.

Only immediate family members know about the contents of this special vase.

On Tuesday 22 July 2014 we placed the urn you recently made for my father (Mr WJ Berkhout) in the urn wall in a small family circle, in a niche next to the one where the urn of my mother stands (previously made by you in 2010, painted with poppies).

My father's urn bears the painting of a birch tree, as it was also depicted on his funeral card. It turned out beautifully and we (all of Mr Berkhout's children) are very satisfied with the result.

Special order urn Britte (athletic) Britte Duijn

It has been almost 1 year since we had to say goodbye to our dear daughter and sister Britte. She was only 19 years old. Fate struck on March 19, 2013, when she went into cardiac arrest while practicing her beloved sport: athletics. Britte has always been very sporty from an early age. Unfortunately, after a few days of hope and tension, she passed away on March 23.

Fortunately, we knew that Britte wanted to be cremated, she had indicated this several times when she was still alive, not knowing that the end would come so quickly for her. What are you going to do with the ashes? You will find many options on the internet.

 That is how we ended up at “Phoenix Urns”. The shape of the urn really appealed to us. Not so standard, and a nice urn to place in the living room, without having the idea that there is actually an urn standing there. We also thought it was important to give it a personal touch.

The image on the urn speaks for itself. We have made a special place for Britte in the living room. It gives us a good feeling that Britte will stay with us in this way. Often you  take a look at this place with the urn. We have also had many positive reactions from family and friends. Everyone thinks it's very beautiful. We have experienced the contact with Michaël about the design of the urn as very positive. We think we have done so well, and are very pleased with the result.

I received the “Daffodils urn” and I am absolutely delighted with it. It is a beautiful piece of workmanship. At the present time, it is on display in my curio cabinet and I hope to be around a while before I need it, but I wanted to be able to select my final resting place and daffodils are my favorite flowers. I was very pleased with your process of providing updates and pictures of the work in progress.

Your prompt and efficient communication with me throughout the whole process was very much appreciated.

We would like to inform you that the urn of our son Jasper has become fantastically beautiful. It has exceeded our wildest expectations that our own design has come into its own so meticulously.
